At this present time, there is a limit to one (1) channel per user. Some users may be granted more channels based on the activity of their present channel and length of time on the ZUH IRC Network.
Before you continue to register a channel (AKA "room"), please be aware of the following:
Make sure you know what a mask is.
If we do not have a proper mask we will not be able to register your channel.
Your channel may or may not be registered right away. To find out if your channel has been registered, type /join #yourchannelname to see if Z is in your channel. If Z is not in your channel after one (1) day, go to #Channels, #Help or #ZUH and ask about it.
Information changes
Any change of information such as a change in ISP is the channel owner's responsibility to notify one of the chanserve opers in #Channels, #Help or #Zuh.
Know how to operate your channel.
All channels should be password protected. If your channel is not password protected, you may be subject to "Channel Takeovers".
Channel owners MUST read the Z FAQ pages.
In order to have a successful channel, a channel owner should know the commands to use Z channel services. ZUH opers are here to help you, however, most questions can be answered in the FAQ pages or by typing "/msg Z help" while on IRC.
Passwords are important!
If you need to ask a ZUH Oper for help you may be required to give him/her your password depending on the type of help you requre. Be ABSOLUTELY sure you are speaking with a ZUH oper before doing so. Most opers are "opped" in the above mentioned channels. Never give your password in an open channel. When an oper must modify your channel, that would be when your password is required. If you feel uncomfortable giving your password out on IRC, you can use the Comments Form found HERE
ADVERTISING/SPAMMING in other channels is NOT permitted. ANYBODY caught doing such an act MAY LOSE THEIR CHANNEL! Users advertising a channel not owned by them may cause the owner to lose their channel.
Harassment in other channels or harassing users on the ZUH IRC Network will
result in your removal from ZUH and your channel will be history.
