One of the biggest reasons that Z does not work for users is because the user doesn't put the #Channelname in the command line. For example: If you own #abc and you type:
/msg z tlock This is my new topic
Z will tell you "No permission".
The correct syntax is:/msg z tlock #abc This is my new topic
At this point in time, Z will change your channel topic to:"This is my new topic"
Another common problem found is a webtv conflict. On many occassions, Webtv users' masks change. There is a simple solution that works 90 % of the time. This is simply logging out completely and logging back in.
Another way to avoid conflicts with host masks is to add other hostmask to Z using the /msg z add #channelname usernickname mask
**NOTE
#channelname
means the name of your channel (don't forget to use the #)
usernicknamemust be different than one that is already added to Z. If you are registered to Z as abc with a mask of abc!abc@*.concentric.net you will have to use a different nickname like abc2.
maskis the reply you get from Z when you type /msg Z mask usernickname.
